What trust wallet does
Trust Wallet generates private keys locally on your device. Those keys never leave your phone unless you export them. The wallet supports Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Solana, and dozens of other networks. You can send, receive, and swap tokens within the app.
The wallet also connects to decentralised exchanges and NFT marketplaces through WalletConnect or its own browser. This means you can trade on platforms like Uniswap or buy NFTs on OpenSea without leaving the app.

Common trust wallet problems
Users encounter several recurring issues. These are the ones documented most frequently.
Recovery phrase lost or stolen. If you lose your 12-word seed phrase, your funds are gone. Trust Wallet does not store it anywhere. If someone else obtains your phrase, they control your wallet. Store the phrase offline in a safe place. Never photograph it or type it into any website.
Sending to the wrong network. Trust Wallet displays multiple addresses for the same token across different chains. Sending USDT on Ethereum to a Binance Smart Chain address can result in permanent loss. Always verify the network before confirming a transaction.
Transaction stuck or pending. Network congestion can leave a transaction unconfirmed for hours. Trust Wallet sometimes does not show the option to speed up or cancel. You can use a block explorer to find the nonce and resend with higher gas, but this requires technical steps.
Swaps failing. The in-app swap feature routes through decentralised liquidity pools. If liquidity is low or the price impact is high, the swap may revert. Slippage tolerance settings need adjustment. Tokens with transfer taxes can also cause failures.
Token not appearing. New or obscure tokens may not show in your balance. You can add them manually by pasting the contract address. Make sure to use the correct chain. Scammers often deploy fake tokens with similar names.
DApp browser not loading. Some decentralised applications block mobile browsers or require specific RPC endpoints. Switching to a different RPC or clearing the browser cache can help.
Backup and restore confusion. Restoring a wallet from seed phrase overwrites the current wallet. If you have multiple wallets, you must re-import each one. There is no multi-wallet view within the app.
Security considerations
Trust Wallet is non-custodial, which means security depends on you. The wallet does not have a password recovery option. If you forget your app lock PIN, you must reinstall and restore from seed phrase.
Phishing attacks targeting mobile wallet users are common. Fake websites impersonate Trust Wallet and ask for your seed phrase. Legitimate support will never ask for it.
The app receives regular updates. Using an outdated version increases risk. Enable automatic updates if possible.
